BATON for 1∞

BATON for 1∞ is our sustainability project, based on the concept of “passing on 100% of the abundance we enjoy today to future generations.”
The logo incorporates a relay baton to symbolize passing this abundance to the next generation, while its Möbius strip-inspired form represents our hope that valuable resources will remain available for generations to come.

Our Initiatives

Development of Environmentally Friendly Products
(CASSETTE WALL & CEILING®)

We are engaged in the following initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

  • 1. Proactive Use of Recycled Pellets

    Our polyester acoustic panels incorporate approximately 52% recycled pellets, and we aim to increase this proportion to 80% in the future.

  • 2. Recycling-Friendly Product Design

    We design our products using only polyester, as mixed materials make recycling more difficult.

  • 3. Reuse of Production Offcuts

    We donate acoustic panels made from production offcuts to public facilities, reducing waste while contributing to local communities.

  • 4. Extending Product Lifespan

    To make the products washable, we have optimized the molding method and heat-treatment process.

    Even when dirty, the products can be washed and reused repeatedly, helping to extend product lifespan.

    Individual components can also be removed for easier cleaning.

  • 5. Contributing to a Circular Economy

    We collect acoustic panels that customers no longer need and recycle their material into new products, supporting a circular economy.
    As part of this effort, we also encourage our customers to participate in recycling initiatives.

Industry-University Cooperation

Industry-Academia Collaboration

  • Through joint research with universities and insights from academic experts, we aim to advance our technologies and continue developing acoustic panels that help reduce stress and enhance our customers’ quality of life.
    FY2023 Joint Research: "Relationship Between Reverberation Time Discrimination Threshold and Acoustic Literacy" with Assistant Professor Kazunori Harada, Okayama Prefectural University
  • We have collaborated with Konko Gakuen High School on community initiatives.
    To date, we have held sustainability workshops and donated acoustic panels made from production offcuts to childcare facilities, providing high school students with hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Through collaboration with industry, academia, and government, we work to create better childcare environments by leveraging each partner’s strengths.
    We support these efforts through our expertise in acoustic panels and educational cardboard craft activities.

Human Resource Development and Business Succession

  • We are committed to supporting employee growth and creating a comfortable working environment that contributes to the company’s continued development.
    In April 2023, we increased the number of annual days off to 115 days and introduced a student loan repayment support program. We have also been certified as an Okayama Childcare Support Declaration Company to help create a more supportive workplace.
    The Planning and Sales Department is also building a system that provides employees with a broad range of work experience while enhancing training for new graduates.

As a manufacturing company, we have begun taking steps toward a circular economy to promote responsible consumption and production. While many challenges remain, we are committed to contributing to a more sustainable society in cooperation with consumers, including both individuals and businesses.
